Abstract

The process of sensemaking for generating insights has been researched in many directions. Insight provenance is a type of research for finding the origin of the insights. Although much research has been performed on the insight provenance with different tasks (e.g., buying a camera), rare research has been performed with open tasks that could lead more diverse directions during exploration compared to conventional tasks. Here we report our approaches for system logging and visualization as a first step for our insight provenance research.
